Traveling

I arrived safely at my parents house in Atlanta yesterday in time to do the emissions control on the car and pick up insurance documentation.  Today my mom and I will go exchange the title and she will be the proud owner of a Lexus SC430–watch out Atlanta!  My dad claims he doesn’t want to drive it with the top down for fear there might be some 90 year old ‘cougars’ that would take a shine to him……

I bought my parents a little netbook and have spent the morning showing them how to use SKYPE so they can see me in Macedonia.  It hardly seems fair that the technology is so good they really don’t have to miss me very much–but on the other hand they are technologically limited and who knows how functional they will be able to be…perhaps they can find a kid in the neighborhood to come over and help them once a week.

Today is my sister’s birthday and she will be coming over for dinner…Yeah!  I love my sister and I’m feeling a little guilty about leaving her with all the responsibility for the elders.  True, my younger sister is in Houston–a bit closer than Macedonia, but somehow no longer being in the same time zone makes me feel a bit guilty.

That is one hot car!!! If it gets to be to much for your parents, I’ll high tail it to Atlanta to take it off their hands! 🙂 I’m so glad we will be able to hear about your extended mission trip as it is happening. Thank you for being open to God’s direction in your life. I can’t wait to hear about how He will use you to help the folks over there. I’ll be praying for you! Ex-roomie from Haiti, Judie
